The guy who sold me the laptop forgot the password, and I need to make changes to the boot order in the bios, how can I reset it or recover the password ? its an acer aspire 3000. help, please !

I cant remember the bios password and i took out the battery and everything to reset the bios password but nothing works.Please help if you know.I need too recover the back up cd and my warranty isnt active no more.
