Best Answer:
well the attack on pearl harbour affected Canada because after the attack we declaired war on japan before the US did. it affected the world because it brought the US into the second world war, after the attack on pearl harbour The US declaired war on Germany and Japan. the reason Germany was the maine priority was because the allied nations decided on a Europe first thing and after that the would use there combined strength to attack Japan.

The Japanese saved many Canadian lives by pissing off the Americans causing them to finish the war faster.

After Pearl Habour Canada sent her first troops into battle.
She sent the Winnipeg Grenadiers and the Royal Rifles of Quebec to the Crown Colony of Hong Kong in December 1941. THey were overwhelmed by Japanese troops and
the colony was surrendered by General Maltby of the British army on December 25, 1941. All the troops were taken
prisoner and held until August 1945 in slave camps under
brutal conditions involving torture and starvation. Canada would not suffer another such disaster until the Dieppe Landings.
