Pokemon Ruby where can you find a Marshtomp?

Apart from in the towns you can only get to when your higher up in the game, I can go to Mauville City and thats as far as I've got (I need to defeat the gym leader there)

Best Answer:

You can't find a marshtomp anywhere. It's only a starter pokemon. Plus, you can't trade till you've beaten the elite 4, thats a bummer too. I hated Mauville gym, it was always the magneton that Koed me! Though i did start with treeko. I just backtracked to the cave where you give Steven the letter and caught a geodude, leveled it up (it took time) and then challenged Mauville gym. Mud slap does come in useful for it too as do any fire type moves, ground attacks and if you happen to start with treeko (as i did) i suggest you evolve it, if you haven't already.

you can't find a marshtomp you can only have one if you got a Mudkip form Prof Birch that or if u have a cheat cartridge sry may i suggest just a rock or ground? there are just as effective if not more! Also a fire pokemon is helpful

You have to select Mudkip as your starter, and evolve it once.

u need to evolve mudkip, u can't capture starters or their evolve form, trade 4 it or use another PKMN.

You needed to pick Mudkip as your starter, and it evolves into Marshtomp at level 16. If you picked Torchic, Combusken's not that bad, since it has Double Kick as soon as it evolves, and 2 of Wattson's 3 pokemon are steel types. If you picked Treecko, then Grovyle, since it's a grass type, has a resistance to electric types for some reason, but don't rely on that to win. Try raising an Aron, found in granite cave, if your starter isn't cutting it, since it's Steel/Rock type combo gives it good defenses

Sadly, if you mean that you want to get Marshtomp in wild then you can't. The only way that you could get him or her is by having Mudkip as your starter Pokemon, trading with other Pokemon games or by cheating. Sorry. I hope that this has helped anyway.

you get it from mudkip as a starter. the only other way is to trade. if you dont need it (only for the pokedex) you could just trade and trade back.
