Schengen visa?

I'm a US permanent residence I recently applied for a schengen visa to visit France. The french consulate issued me a multiple entry visa good for 3 months is set to expire on january 1, 2008. I'm planning to go to spain next month (which is also a part of the schengen countries). Can I use the same visa or should I apply again even though that schengen visa issued by the french consulate has not yet expired?

Best Answer:

hello, A multiple entry Schengen visa will allow the holder several entries into the Schengen area, allowing you to re-enter the Schengen area at a later date.

The same visa is going to work , do not wrry. The schengen visa works among all the schengen countries. Thus you can freely go to Spain as well with the same visa. All the best !!!!!!!

You can use the same visa. A Schengen visa is good for the whole EU, except for Ireland and the UK. The only limitation, is that you really should visit the country that issued the visa first (and make sure they stamp your passport) Some embassies will deny you the next visa if they think you didn't visit where you said you were going to. But once you go to the original country, you are free to travel anywhere, and re-enter the Schengen zone in another country.
