Pokeradar?

I just plain do not get how to use the pokeradar. Everytime I try to use it is says the whole "Rowan's words echoed" thing. What do I do?

you have to use it in a patch of grass...it will make sertain spots of grass move... there are three total types of moves 1) it just wiggles the grass, nothing fancy (normal monster) 2) has 3 white lines come from the grass, flashes white once (might have a rarer monster than normal) 3) Flashes white several times, looks similar to 2 but is easly differed ( has a shiny monster in it )

u have to be in short grass and BE WALKING. then it will work. also best way to use it is to use a repel. so you can get a big chain
