Laptop Error?

I was on my laptop and a pop up box said there was an error with such and such ( i dont remember exactly) and it just shut down, now when i switch it on it half way loads up then stops, i have tried installing windows with the boot up disc and it again gets half way through and then stops.. help??

hi i had this prob a few days ago you need to do a full format not a quick format before reinstall to make sure the partition is clean..mine was down to virus stored on a programe i downloaded to another drive

You probably downloaded or installed a spyware or antivirus program that is incompatible with another spyware or antivirus program that was already installed on your HD and they dont play well together. Take it to a technician to have it fixed they may be able to save your data depending on what you did to it.

It sounds like a hardware error.Sorry but I think that there is no option but to take it to a repair shop.

Sounds to me like a spyware/adware program (no promises). If you can get it running try downloading Windows Onecare,its free for 90 days and should get rid of any virus s etc.Good luck.
