My visa appointment at the French consulate in London is 18 may 2007. Will I get my passport back same day?

To abtain a shengen visa I booked an appointment for 1st May 2007. I have booked my holidays in France for the 1st June 2007. Realislically will I get my passport back with the visa before 1 June 2007? I appreciate your comments
